About

La Cascada is very much like the hotel Piedras y Olas it belongs to -- it's big, impressive, and somewhat over-the-top. The large, open space is the size of a movie set and doubtless will be used some day in a tropical Hollywood blockbuster. The top here is in fact a grandiose thatched roof that encompasses a curved bar, spacious dining area, and terrace with a wide-screen view of the bay. There is a pool up front if you fancy a dip between courses. The menu is an imaginative mix of Cajun sausage soup and almond stir-fry with the usual delicious mix of lobster and shrimp thrown in. The staff is very friendly and speaks English.
