One of the favourite haunts of Rome's well-heeled, La Cabala nestles on the third floor of a 15th-century palazzo that's also home to the Osteria dell'Orso restaurant of super-chef Gualtiero Marchese and a quaint ground-floor piano bar. To get to La Cabala, walk past the sing-along punters in the piano bar and head for the stairs: the music may be nothing special - a mix of house and chart hits - but the place rocks and the view over the Tiber is romantic.
