The chef and owner, José Ramos, has won many national gastronomic competitions and has been creating intriguing variations on traditional recipes since the early 1990s. He will regale you with such dishes as tortas de patatas (potato cakes -- yes, potato cakes, and how good they are!). Try also his crepes de aguacate con gambas (avocado crepes with shrimp) and his pato asado con puré de manzana y col roja (grilled duck with apple purée and red cabbage). Also worth ordering is the parrillada de pescado y mariscos (assorted grilled fish and shellfish). For dessert, order his clever helado frito con frambuesa (fried ice cream with raspberry sauce).
