Kshira Chora Gopinath Temple is located in Remuna about 9 km east of Balasore and is also known as Balasore. It is believed that Lord Rama carved idol of Gopinath with his arrow and Goddess Sita worshipped the deity in Chitrakoot. Later in 13th century, King Langula Narasingha Dev brought this deity to Remuna from Chitrakoot.The temple has idols of Sri Madan Mohana, Sri Govinda, Radha-Rasabihari, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Lord Jagannath along with Sri Gopinath. Tourists can also find Shaligram Shilas on the other side of the temple.
