This sports complex was the host of the 1998 Commonwealth Games, which entered into the record books as the biggest ever held. The complex boasts athletic and field games, a stadium with a seating capacity of 100,000, an aquatic complex and a gymnastic stadium. There is also one of the best squash complexes in the world and a hockey stadium. The complex is easily accessible by LRT (Light Rail Transit) and other public transport. Members of the public can go for a swim in the Olympic sized swimming pool for a small charge. Other venues are available for rent.
