The island of Koh Rin and its surrounding waters house without doubt some of the best coral in the area, the waters around this medium sized island are therefore perfect for both snorkelers and all levels of divers. The coral is abundant and the waters are crystal clear, the marine life that can be frequently spotted in the area include moray eels, squirrelfish and lionfish. On several occasions some large rays have been spotted around Koh Rin.
There are two main snorkeling areas on Koh rin and these are both to be found around the large white sandy beach on the East side of the island, the beach here does get quite busy late morning and early afternoon, for this reason we prefer to arrive on Koh Rin mid morning.
