Kiss & Fly
Av. Pres. Juscelino Kubitschek, 2041
About
With gated communities and high-rises, helipads and sporting clubs amok, São Paulo knows how to exclude. Itaim's Kiss & Fly, sister club of its New York City namesake, brings exclusivity to new heights after the lights go low. The latest club da hora, Kiss & Fly follows in the footsteps of other American offspring like Pink Elephant and Mokai. Renowned house music DJs, like Paul Oakenfold and David Guetta, stop in to spin a set when trekking through SP. Part of the Villa Daslu complex, Kiss & Fly shares a wall with Budda Bar. On Friday and Saturday nights, lines regularly run two-hours long. Some are seduced by the selectivity, pleading with bouncers and calling through their phone books in hopes of scoring VIP entrance. Others, fed up with the snobbery of the whole exercise, curse the process and jump ship. Soon another club will come along and dethrone Kiss & Fly as Sampa's trendiest party destination. But for the time being, this is the place where the upper crust comes to get down. So, if you want to go, get on the list or get there before midnight. Otherwise, you'll be waiting awhile.
