About
Kerak Castle Crusaders in the 12th century AD paid a great deal of attention to Trans Jordan, and they built many castles in order to monitor the trade and pilgrims routes, and to assure their existence in the area. The castle was built in 1142 with rusticated masonry to show how fast they were in building, because the fortification was to be used for military purposes.
