Kainchi Dham is a religious pilgrimage center famous for the Hanuman Mandir which was constructed in the nineteen sixties by Neem Karoli Baba a famous mystic and saint of India. His followers are distributed throughout the World. Millions of people from all around the globe visit this place every year. Located at a distance of 9 kms from Bhowali and 17 kms from Nainital along the Nainital - Almora Road, it has acquired 'Kainchi Dham' name because of the two famous hair-pin bends on the road here. 'Kainchi' being the term used in the local dialect to describe such phenomenon.
