Kadavinakatta Dam is constructed across the river Venkatapur. The reservoir is situated in the port town of Bhatkal in Karnataka. The main objective for the construction of the dam was to meet the water supply requirements of the town all throughout the year. Today the dam is one the prime sources of water supply for the port town. Kadavinakatta Dam is a huge reservoir, which supplies water to the town of Bhatkal throughout the year. The dam is situated across Venkatapur River and is few kilometres away from Murudeshwara .
