The gallery is in an old colonial style building and houses a great collection of Malay artwork - from paintings and sculptures to ceramics and traditional weapons. The artwork features many aspects of traditional Malay culture, and reflects on Johor states' special place in Malaysia. The building itself is a wonderful example of 1920s colonial style architecture. In true Malay style you must remove your shoes to enter the main gallery.
