Jalan Channel is the busiest street in Sibu. Rows of old shops line up along the road. Central Market, the longest wet market in Sarawak, is also located along Jalan Channel. These old shops are mostly coffee shops and hawker stalls, selling mouth-watering local delicacies like kampua, kompia, etc. Household products at very reasonable prices can also be found in some enterprises along Jalan Channel.
