Moving south along the water's edge you'll pass some boat and kayak rental businesses, always a fun outing on a pleasant day in the tranquil waters off of Islands Brygge.
It's also a favourite spot for sun worshipers, and summertime finds Copenhagen denizens enjoying the five separate pools, each of which is 7 meters (23 feet) deep extending into the pristine water separating the island of Amager from the rest of Copenhagen.
Five pools, three diving towers, and a big lawn with plenty of space for sunbathing has made the harbor bath at Islands Brygge one of the most popular places for Copenhageners to flock on a sunny day. Locals come here for a swim before work, to flirt and have fun on the lawn, bring their kids (who can swim in the two kids' pools), or to cool off after a jog along the waterfront. At night people will bring wine, portable grills, and music, and even in winter a group of hardcore swimmers still makes use of the digs.
