Island View Riding Stables can give visitors riding lessons, take them for a terrific trek on miles of sandy beaches, over rugged moorlands and on the stable owned private island, or for a spin in their horse drawn carriage. They also offer the opportunity to splash across the Atlantic Channel to their own private island for a never to be forgotten picnic. Tailor made treks and friendly competent staff will strive to ensure everyone gets the most from their horseback experience. Equestrian package holidays and carriage driving is also available.Their stables are situated in the scenic north west of Ireland in County Sligo, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Donegal Bay. There are over 50 horses and ponies that enjoy a life close to nature in the fields between Benbulben Mountain and the sea. The nearest beach is only a few minutes ride from the stables. Riders can enjoy a fresh canter, a leisurely stroll, or a splash in the sea. Island View Riding Stables have horses to suit every type of rider big or small, experienced or novice, child or adult. They also breed Irish Draught horses, Irish sport horses, Connemara ponies and Irish cobs and have a selection of well schooled horses and ponies for sale at the equestrian centre.Centred riding ® instructor level two. Currently Island View is the only riding centre offering instruction in centred riding.
