Islamabad Zoo

Pir Sohawa Road, Islāmābād, Pakistan

About

The zoo started in 1978 as a refuge to leopard, spotted deer and Indian gazelle found in the region. It soon gained popularity and became a part of the Japanese garden. An aviary was later constructed. The Islamabad Zoo is a pleasant surprise as it is a great place to relax and get away from the chaos of the subcontinent. The entire area is really clean and it is cute watching families eat ice cream and get excited over the animals. The zoo has cougars, Elephants and a wide variety of birds
