ISKCON Temple is located at 3C Albert Road, Minto Park in Kolkata. Set up by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, it was the first ever centre of ISKCON. Dedicated to Lord Krishna, the ISKCON Temple Kolkata is the hub of devotees and spiritual seekers. People from all parts of the world converge here to worship Krishna and to offer their services. ISKCON centre in Kolkata has carved an altar out of wood. Granite and marble are used for the construction of the centre. The ISKCON in India organised the first rathayatra in Kolkata in 1972. This has become a regular affair now. The ambience of the temple with the chanting of Hare Krishna reverberating in the atmosphere draws many a soul to this serene shrine. Meditation and signing of Bhajan is a major activity here.
