Indrani Panchadurga, one of the most revered centres in the region, is located 2 km east of Udupi. The history of this temple dates back to 11th century and is dedicated to Goddess Durga. The revered Goddess Durga resides in the temple in the form of five laterite lingas or Panchadurga.
A wood idol of Vanadurga, identified as Daru Shilpa, is also found on the backside of the shrine that was later replaced by a stone sculpture.
