In October 1973, a Bible Study Week was organised by the Bible Society of India led by Rev.Theodore Williams, the then Pastor of Richmond Town Methodist Church, Bangalore. Christians of all denominations studied the Acts of Apostles and the establishments of early Churches. Those who attended these meetings desired that they should continue this study in regular fortnightly home fellowship meetings. As the group grew, they organised Sunday Worship Services. The first Sunday Worship Service was conducted on the 5th of January 1975 with about 25 people worshiping. As the congregation grew the venue was shifted to the hall of Campus Crusade for Christ, Defence Colony, Indiranagar.
