About
The Hong Kong Grande Palácio – one of two Chinese restaurants owned by the same proprietor that share the same name – is one of the city's best known. Located on a road just off Avenida Almirante Reis, a lively thoroughfare enlivened by African, Indian, Brazilian, Korean, and, of course, Chinese immigrant character, Hong Kong Grande Palácio is distinguished by its Cantonese cuisine. Offering an exotic and well-designed menu, the speciality of the house is dim sum – small, steamed or fried dumpling filled with meat, seafood, noodles or rice and garnished with a whole range of vegetables including cabbage and mushroom. Expertly cooked and served promptly and courteously, dim sum choice here also extends to delicious but very sweet cakes and desserts. A good indicator of the quality of the food is that the restaurant is patronised by a regular Asian clientele – always a good sign. Take-away is available. © NileGuide2011 The Grande Palácio Hong Kong is a unique Chinese restaurant in Lisbon. It has a long and wide room, suitable for groups, but also with hidden spots, ideal to enjoy a quiet meal. The menu presents a diverse selection of southern Chinese cuisine dishes. The Baked Pork with Honey, the Roasted Duck, and the Dim Sum dishes, cooked in steam, are among the delicious and also quite healthy options available. The distinction comes not only from the contrast with the usual Chinese dishes, but also from its service, professional and friendly.
