About

The "Hirschgarten" is the largest beergarden in Munich. It is located in the west near the castle Nymphenburg. There is a large park area around it where you can see some deer. You will always find free seats because there are almost 8000 of them. The seating with table cloths are reserved for folks who want to order food.  Grab a table without a table cloth and you can have your own picnic. The food variety is large and tastes great!  You will get the best beer here. Augustiner and the Tegernseer beer are most excellent. One unusual thing is that you should pre-rinse your "Maßkrug"... or you can rinse your "Maßkrug" and reuse it (recommended especially if they are running low on "Maßkrugs" ). If you have kids, you can let them play at the playground while you enjoy your beer.  The deer and goat feeding area also offer the kids entertainment!
