Heywood Wood, Wine & Roses Committee will be celebrating their 20th Annual Birthday Festival on 23rd February 2013. Entertainment is available for all interests: art and craft, dirt bikes, wine and cheese tasting marquee, childrens amusements and carnival rides, with stalls of all different assortments from all states of Australia. Add to that the magnificent street parade and dressed shop windows and grand finale fireworks. Eroni's Circus will provide 5 free shows. Halls Gap Zoo will also be entertaining.An amazing array of art/craft, photography and floral displays and competitions will be on show, with the inclusion of our second annual Craft Challenge displayed. A "20th Birthday Theme" has been introduced for all areas of the festival so will be a great sight to see.We are now the biggest event in the Glenelg Shire attracting thousands each year. Top entertainment will be non-stop for 13 hours between 10am and 11pm. Headline acts for Stage 1 are Johnny Cash/Elvis Tribute Show, Beach Boys/70's and 80's Tribute with George & Noriko who were semi-finalists in Australia's Got Talent 2012. Stage 2 will see local dance groups in the beautiful setting of the Fitzroy River alongside a Katy Perry/Hannah Montanna/Miley Cyrus Tribute.Our aim is to provide a family orientated, reasonably priced day for all as well as promote local product and industry, history and culture of Heywood to the wider community.
