Hemkund Sahib

Guru   Gobind Singh  Ji the  Tenth Master  in one of his great holy compositions entitled "Bachittar Natak" while giving a hint or pointing out this good site  Hemkund Sahib  or  Hemkunt Sahib . Hemkund Sahib is situated at an altitude if 4329 mts above sea leve in Chamoli district of Uttarakhan state. Hemkund literally suggest "Lake of Snow' and the pristine water of this lake is as cold as snow. It is also known as gurudwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib.
