Hawksmoor Spitalfields opened in 2006 with a simple plan - to be the best steak restaurant in London. We travelled the world searching for the perfect steak, but discovered that beef from traditional breeds, reared the old fashioned way right here in Britain, and cooked simply over real charcoal, packed more flavour than anything we tried on our travels. Fortunately we've had fantastic feedback and were hailed by Jay Rayner as serving the best steak in the country. We have a new restaurant in Covent Garden, but Spitalfields will always be the original British Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar.
