The temple is situated in Ariyanoor, a neighbouring village of Guruvayur. This preserved structure is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. The temple is dedicated to Harikanyaka, a form of Lord Vishnu. This ancient temple was built by Perumthachan and boasts of a rich history. In fact, the place Ariyanoor was considered to be the head of the 32 deshams. The temple draws a number of devotees and celebrates a 15 day festival during the month of March to April, every year.
