In the Keppel Group of Islands on the Great Barrier Reef, you can drift dive the deep channel to 30 metres between the Child and Barren islands known as "The Gulch". Its walls are lined with small colourful invertebrates. On a good dive, gropers, barracuda, trevally, stingrays, wobbegongs, cobia and surgeonfish can be seen.
