Halswell Quarry Park is sprawled across 60.4 hectares of lush green land, in the scenic suburb of Halswell to the south of Christchurch. The park's highlight is its beautiful botanical garden, where diverse species of plants, shrubs, and wild herbs co-exist. The serene 'Sister Cities Gardens' are also a part of this park. Exotic birds, little invertebrates and a variety of wildlife can be spotted at the Quarry Park. Over the years, it has provided picnic areas to groups, concert space for artists and interesting walks by its historic buildings to tourists from far and wide.
