Halo-Halo
About
Located at the very end of Coffee Street (Yundang Lu), Halo-Halo is a four story coffee shop, bar, and restaurant. The establishment has a spacious patio on the first floor, nooks and corners featuring comfortable chairs all throughout it's 4 stories. The balconies on the second and third floor provide a spectacular view across the water, as does the open air fourth floor, with it's many plants and vines. The third floor bar gives the place a lush, expensive feel, and is a hidden surprise to those who haven't explored all of the restaurant's levels. The staff is mainly Chinese speaking, although the managers speak excellent English. As Halo-Halo is further away from the main street of the area, the establishment is often quite empty during the day, although it gets a little busier at night. Halo-Halo serves a large variety of coffees, baked sweets and cookies made in house, as well as mixed drinks, cocktails, and beer. The restaurant specializes in Fillipino foods, serving specialties like the Halo-Halo, a sweet fruit dessert. Also served are high end western food such as steaks and lamb dishes, as well as an assortment of Chinese foods, all of which are excellent.
