Pelotherapy is practised using mud from the river Maros. The Maros mud is a certified healing mud. Regarding granulometric composition of the Maros mud it can sustain competition with the best foreign muds, even with such world-renowned muds like Fango di Battaglia. The proportion of disadvantageous rough and fine particles is lower; whilst the proportion of efficacious mud and raw material is more than in Battaglia Fango.
