You should really experience Haeundae once during August. Your jaw will drop at the number of people that can fit onto one small beach. It's kind of fun in it's own way, but not as a "beach." So after stopping by and marveling at the thousands of Koreans playing in the water fully dressed and ordering food delivered to them on the beach, take a taxi to one of the OTHER beaches, which are actually somewhat pleasant and you can have a nice time at (Gwanganlee and Seongjeong -farther out of the way, but with far less people. You can actually rent surf boards there, though the waves are too small for anyone but beginners).
