Copenhagen's newest upscale burger restaurant opened in fall 2010 and has transformed its formerly run-down cafe premises into a smart, monochrome-toned eatery. Found not far from Nørreport Station with Arbejdermuseet as its neighbor, Haché is no relation to the branch of London restaurants with the same name and is instead the creation of former Custom House chef Jakob Schottländer. The 15 different types of burger offered all cost DKK 95 and are made with 100% organic produce (Austrian beef, French chicken) in Italian rolls. The range includes two vegetarian options, an 'aussie burger' (with beetroot, emmental and a fried egg), a chicken burger and a low-carb burger: Fries and ketchup (all dressings are homemade) cost extra. This being a 'gourmet' burger place, a glass—or bottle—of good quality wine can be ordered with your meal; alternatively, sodas, juice and draught beer are also served. Haché doesn't take reservations, but you are welcome to wait.
