A historical place in Parwanoo, Gurkha Fort is a perfect tourist destination which is located on a small hillock in Subathu. Subathu is a little town of Kasauli District. The Fort is bounded by a dense forest and is connected to Parwanoo by National Highway 22. It is believed that the Gurkha Army Chief Amar Singh Thapa created Gurkha Fort to fight against the British Army. Subathu is a cantonment area and the ruins of the historical Gurkha fort can be still found here.
