A gurdwara meaning the gateway to the guru, is the place of worship for Sikhs, however, people of all faiths are welcomed in the Gurdwara.. There are also large numbers of expatriate Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians. Dubai is also the only emirate that has Hindu temples and a Sikh Gurdwara. The Government follows a policy of tolerance toward non-Muslim religions and, in practice, interferes very little in their religious activities.
