Gulmarg Golf Course was formally inaugurated on 18th of September, 2011 by the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah. Ranjit Nanda & associates redesigned this golf course that is carved out within a meadow & that has at least 16 different species of wild flowers. The flowers are in full bloom from about the middle of June till early September. The 18 hole championship course is a stern test of golf from the back tees and measures 7505 yards with a Par of 72.
