A spruce forest beside the Elbow River, Griffith Woods is a tranquil escape from the city. Located at the bottom of the hill in Discovery Ridge, this park is a has a rich variety of aquatic eco-systems. While this isn't really a destination for picnics, it's a great place for a casual stroll through the forest.
