Goody's
Athens, Greece
About
Watch out, golden arches. Thanks to Goody's, the people of Greece have "fast" food that is based on their traditional diet of olive oil, vegetables, and trustworthy meat. While the menu has all of the usual suspects you would expect from a fast food restaurant, (cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, fries, kids meals) Goody's prides itself on quality. Based on the crowds at any given time of the day, it seems that it's working. Some of the best features include a self service salad bar with big blocks of feta cheese and a bottle of olive oil to use at your discretion, freshly baked bread, the aforementioned kids meals and occasionally, play areas for the kids. There are 172 restaurants all over Greece. 72 of them are in Attica, four directly in the heart of the city center in four major squares: Monastiraki Square on Ermou Street Kolonaki Square on Irodotou Street 17 Stadiou Street just down from Kolokotroni Square and Omonia Square in a restored neoclassical building. There is also one just next to the Ledra Marriott again across from the Syngrou-Fix metro station, both on Syngrou Avenue.
