  It was designed as a 9-hole course in the park of Villa Recalcati seat of the Province of Varese, at the time the Grand Hotel Excelsior.  Then, after a short transfer to a larger location in the picturesque Valganna, settled in Luvinate in 1934.  The prestigious Golf Club Varese then today its headquarters in a former Benedictine monastery in which sport, nature and art come together in a beautiful harmony.
