About
The Central Valley is known for its delicious fruits, vegetables, nuts, and wines. Madera County sits at the center, and is home to working pomegranate farms, a boutique Wine Trail, and some of the freshest fruit and nuts in the area.
The 13 family-run wineries of the Madera Wine Trail welcome guests to experience high-quality hand-crafted wines in intimate tasting rooms where the nice guy pouring your wine in is also the winemaker. That's friendly. In addition to wine-tasting throughout the year, a dozen wineries along the route hold special events that celebrate the harvest and the holidays. Most of the wineries are conveniently located along the State 99 corridor, and all ae within a few minutes' drive from one another. As with any wine-country experience, make sure you drive along this unique stretch of wineries responsibly and designate a driver.
Be sure to stop by Home Grown Cellars for amazing pomegranates, a seasonal butterfly sanctuary, tours and tastings. Then make your way to Valley Pistachio for tasty fruit, and, you guessed it, pistachios. Top off your day with a "farm-to-table" meal at the Vineyard Restaurant , family-owned and operated since 1977.
