Mustard, chocolates, bread, coffee and cakes are just some of the rare European delights available at the German Food Center, an oasis of imported goodies not far from Chao Yang Park's expatriate zone. Stock up on high-grade domestic meat in Western cuts, hygienically stored and beautifully presented, or just pop in for a slice of torte and a cappuccino to catch your breath during morning shopping. The staff are friendly and professional. Prices tend to be a little higher than in local shops. A community noticeboard displays announcements in English and German.
