If you feel like treating yourself to a superior ice cream after a day's sunbathing on Ipanema beach, this upmarket Italian ice cream parlor could be just what the doctor ordered. Vero prides itself on its authentic Italian root, with many ingredients imported direct from Italy, and many of the icecream and sorbet recipes being equally authentic. The pistachio ice is a wonderful option among the Italian flavors, while maracuja (passion fruit) and mango bring a tropical hit to the mix. The ice creams are hand made and, as such, are not cheap, starting at R$8 for a small scoop.
