Funyula is a fast up coming town in the region.It has been elevated into a District Headquarters and it is by passed by a tarmac road linking Bumala to Port victoria or even Sio-Port. Its planned to become a major Kenya - Uganda boarder Crossing point the moment a permanent bridge is erected at Muluanda Port.The area is secure, has breathtaking scenic sites (samia Hills) and has plenty of wild monkeys. Has fairly good eating/drinking joints notably Zuma Restaurant, Jerusalem Hotel, Roots Guest house, Olympic Guest house, Uncle Paradise Dirinking Pub. Other include Meeting Point, Green Pub.It has 2 supermarkets,Kenda Kala being the better stocked. ICT wise , Queen's Resource Centre remains the preferred service outlet for Printing and typesetting, Digital Photography and Package training.
