About
Museum dedicated to the author of Estonian national ephic book called "Kalevipoeg" - Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald. Kreutzwald lived here in 19th century. Kreutzwald was Võru town doctor, he was also an archaeologist, jourmalist, writer. He got a place of city doctor after graduating Tartu University, originally he is from North Estonia. Elias Lönrot, author of Finnish national epic book "Kalevala" visited him here. Also Lydia Koidula, important Estonian poet of that era visited him here.
