Forneria e Pizzaria Via Cappella
Avenida Campeche, 1489
Cuisines: Pizza
About
Tucked into the quiet neighborhood of Campeche, this is a true family-style pizzeria. Two brothers run the operation and named it Via Capella in honor of Campeche's many churches, some of which are the oldest on the island. Just because it's pizza doesn't mean it's not authentic: Brazilians love their pies as much as -- or even more than -- the rest of us, and have adapted pizza to fit local tastes. Don't be shocked to find corn or eggs as toppings for the thin-crust creations, and yellow mustard as a condiment here. Highly recommended is the pizza margherita -- add aliche (anchovies), for a fishy kick consistent with other specialties of Floripa.
