Set in the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside, Folly Farm is a farm diversification success story. In 1988, this former dairy farm with the same name, opened its doors to the public to demonstrate how its cows were milked. Nearly 25 years on, Folly Farm is one of the top paid-for visitor attractions in Wales and wins awards for it. JOLLY BARN AND FARM Folly Farm's most well known attraction is still as hugely popular today as when it opened nearly 25 years ago. The Jolly Barn is home to a huge variety of farmyard friends. With goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, miniature horses, chickens and much more, including many rare breeds and a whole raft of babies each year, visitors get the chance to get up close to their farmyard favourites. There's even a life-size plastic cow you can milk! NEW FOR 2012 - The Discovery Farmyard packed full with educational, interactive exhibits where children can experience farming education in a fun and stimulating environment through games such as What Crop, the Grain Chain, Whose Baby and many more. FOLLY ZOO With over 50 different species amounting to more than 250 animals, Folly Zoo is a day out in itself. Home to the only Giraffes in Wales as well as many more exotic and endangered species, you can learn more about all your favourite zoo animals, and many more you might not have even heard of. NEW FOR 2012 - Now you can get up close to Folly Farm's Giraffe on the Giraffe Heights Walkway, a platform which extends into the Giraffe paddock and gets you alongside these beautiful creatures. Also new this year is Folly Interactive Explorer an education based challenge where children navigate their way through each exhibit to complete their Folly Explorer Passport. VINTAGE FUNFAIR Europe's largest undercover vintage funfair with a huge collection of working rides and stalls lovingly restored for your enjoyment. Farms and funfairs have a long shared history as farmers used to use hiring fairs as a means of finding people to work their land. Folly Farm has brought together under one roof some of the most important funfair rides in British fair history, including the 90 year old Golden Gallopers, chair-o-planes, dodgems, the Lakin Skid, the Cake Walk, the Royal Coronation Speedway and many more. A giant helter skelter sits just outside the funfair and complete the old time funfair experience and in 2011 Folly Farm added a new 25 metre Big Wheel, The Pembrokeshire Wheel, which offers spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire landscape...you can even see the sea at Saundersfoot! ADVENTURE PLAY Whatever the weather, Folly Farm has got it covered. 50% of the attraction is now undercover for when it's raining or for when a bit of shade is required!
