About Foley

Foley is a city in Baldwin County, Alabama, United States. Foley is a principal city of the Daphne- Fairhope- Foley Micropolitan Statistical Area , which includes all of Baldwin County. The City of Foley Museum & Archives and Model Train Exhibit is located in a restored train depot from the early 1900s. It holds archives for the City of Foley as well as railroad memorabilia. The Foley Gold Course is an eighteen hole course. Baldwin County Heritage Museum (baldwincountyheritagemuseum.com) showcases the everyday lives of the county's settlers. Set on 5 acres, this free museum contains heritage buildings such as a church, windmill, schoolhouse and blacksmith's shop, as well as exhibits of farm machinery, tools and historic artifacts. Foley Heritage Park lies behind the railroad museum. It offers beautiful landscaped gardens, and lots of green space, which is often used for hosting events such as "Music and a Movie in the Park" and "Art in the Park. The Graham Creek Nature Preserve (grahamcreek.org), just outside Foley, is open daily, year-round. Foley boasts a good range of sporting facilities, with 24 bowling lanes at Gulf Bowl (gulfbowl.com), and more than a dozen golf courses within an hour's drive, including Arnold Palmer's Craft Farms Golf Club. Foley's Tanger Outlets (tangeroutlet.com/foley) has more than 120 designer-brand stores and specialty shops, as well as a variety of restaurants, rock climbing wall and bungee jump facility. Foley is also renowned for its antique shopping, with centers including the Old Armory Mall.
