Portrush has been the 1st choice destination for sea anglers for generations. Fishing out of Portrush offers some of the best opportunities for good catches of Pollock, Cod and Conger as well as Spurdog, Ling, Mackerel, Tope , Skate, Dogfish and Whiting. Using the most up to date GPS chart plotter technology to enhance the possibility of good catches.I specialise in Tope/shark fishing, wreck trips, anchoring for Pollock, Wrasse, Conger etc.,sandbanks, seal watching trips to the Skerry Islands, trips to Rathlin, trips to Islay to visit the seven distillerys, corporate days or bird watching and even hen parties. Island Fisher:Island Fisher was built in 1990 and is a Lochin33. She cruises at 10 – 11 knots with the power to go 18 knots. She is 33ft long and 12ft beam with 2.6ft draft. Her decks are sealed and clear so there is plenty of room for people and/or equipment! The Island Fisher has full marine mod cons including 2 VHF radios, 1 Sailor radio and 1 ICOM radio, 1 GPS and 1 GPS plotter, 2 echo sounder, 1 radar, a compass. There are 2 bunks on board and a w.c. Island Fisher is licensed to carry 10 anglers or passengers for fishing/cruising during the summer.Island Fisher Trips & Safety:Aboard Island Fisher safety is our priority. The boat is licensed under the Maritime Coastguard Agency and YDBSA as such are closely monitored, surveyed every two and a half years and spot checked throughout the year. The Skipper is fully trained and ticketed in first aid and emergency procedures. We are also fully insured. We carry a 12 man life raft with hydrostatic release and lifejackets for everyone on board .
