Fireworks Festival of Maradu Kottaram Devi Temple

Maradu Kottaram was the summer house of the Kings of Cochin in ancient times. The main deity of the Kottaram temple is Bhagavathy. The Bhagavathy (Bhadrakali) faces west, and poojas are offered twice in a day. The sub deities in Maradu Kottaram Bhagavathy temple are Shasthavu, Nagaraja, Gandakarna, Ganesha and Bramharakshas. The festival takes place in the festival grounds of Maradu, which has mega fireworks display lasting for 1.5 hours for last two days.
