About

You're likely getting the impression that Kolonaki has a wide berth for cafes, many of which seem to claim being THE Kolonaki institution for coffees and meetings; the place to go for seeing and being seen. The Filion has been chosen by the people as one such place, perhaps because of its peaceful location next to the towering Agios Dionysos, the high profile place of worship in Athens, or the fact that it gets a good deal of sun in the mornings, or perhaps its excellent coffees, freshly baked pastries, fresh squeezed juices and well presented dishes of Kayak ice cream. Whatever the reason it makes for a classic start to a day of exploring Kolonaki but be prepared to fight for a table past 10:30, especially on weekends.
