Feuriger Elias, Darmstadt castle, opposite to Darmstadtium congress center, [12]. Take a ride on the Feuriger Elias, a steam-powered train on Darmstadts tram network. The train operates twice a year for several consecutive weekends, usually on sundays. In spring it circles between Darmstadt castle and Alsbach, from where you can take a walk to Castle Frankstein. In late summer, the train goes to Griesheim (tram stop Wagenhalle) and back. Buy your ticket from the conductor on the train. You can get on and off only at the end points, there is no stop in between. 3,50€ (one-way).
