Misleadingly named, Festival City is actually another of Dubai's enormous malls. It has 600 stores and 100 restaurants and cafes, as well as five hotels, a marina and yacht club, fitness center, 12-screen cinema, and 10-lane bowling alley. As many locals as foreigners shop here, and the stores are a mix of international and regional brands. The Power Centre -- part of Festival City -- is a household shopping complex that includes a giant IKEA. It's connected by way of a gold marketplace to the Festival Waterfront Centre, which offers high-street brands and waterfront alfresco dining. Open Sunday to Wednesday 10am to 10pm, Thursday to Saturday 10am to midnight.
