This is a huge exhibition venue located to the north of the city, just 3 kilometers from Barajas airport. It has become first choice for dozens of national and international trade shows, including Fitur, Simo, Expo Ocio, Feriarte and the important contemporary art fair, Arco. There are eight enormous exhibition halls measuring between 5,400 and 16,200 square meters, along with parking for 14,000 vehicles, various cafes and restaurants, meeting rooms, exhibitors' and VIP's lounge, conference hall and media facilities. The Palacio Municipal de Congresos (Conference Center), office buildings, luxury hotels, a park, and several important companies share the site. It opened in 1991 and has expanded to include two new exhibition halls and an extra 3,000 parking places. Admission is free. In the spring, the center holds the annual Retromóvil (International Antique, Classic and Sports Car Fair).
